MEN’S BODYBUILDING

Competitors will be brought out and quarter turned, then compared in mandatory poses which are: Front double biceps, front lat spread, side chest (your favorite side), rear double biceps, rear lat spread, side tricep and abdominal/thigh (hands behind your head with one leg extended forward). Moon poses are not allowed.

MEN’S PHYSIQUE

Will have one round of judging, consisting of half turns and comparisons in board shorts. Shorts must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below belly button, No spandex and no logos are permitted (with the exception of a manufacturer’s logo such as Nike symbol).

FITNESS

Each athlete will perform a routine to music, with a maximum time limit of two minutes. Judges will be looking for style, personality, athletic ability, strength, flexibility and overall performance. Routines should include the following mandatory moves in no particular order: a push up of any kind, high kicks, a straddle hold and a side split. Props are permitted but anything that cannot be carried by the competitor on and off stage must be approved in advance.

CLASSIC MEN’S PHYSIQUE

Competitors are required to wear posing shorts. We have provided a link to images of the NPC Competition Classic Physique shorts below. Competitors are required to wear the same type of cut and all shorts that are worn in competition must be black. Click Here For Classic Contest Photos.

Mandatory poses are: Front double Bicep, side chest, rear double bicep, abdominal thigh and your favorite Classic Physique pose.

FIGURE

Will have one round of judging, consisting of quarter turns and comparisons in a two-piece swimsuit.

BIKINI

Will have one round of judging, consisting of half turns and comparisons in a two-piece swimsuit.

Fitness, Figure and Bikini competitors must wear high heels. Swimsuits must be in good taste and thongs and T-back suits are not allowed. Exhibition of poor sportsmanship will be grounds for automatic disqualification. The judges will be scoring symmetry, conditioning and overall appearance including complexion, poise, and overall presentation.

WOMEN’S PHYSIQUE

Competitors will be compared in quarter turns and the mandatory poses which are: Double-arm biceps, side chest (to the side of your choice), side tricep  (to the side of your choice), rear double arm biceps, and abdominal/thigh. All poses must be open-handed. Competitors will wear 2 piece swim suits and have bare feet.
